Marital Separation. Wife in personal Crisis involving another woman. I moved out and signed a 7 month lease.?

I don't want a divorce. My wife told me to give her space, and give her the opportunity for her to miss me. She says she wants to be free to explore what she needs to do for the sake of "us." Everyone tells me to just tear it off like like a band-aid. I want my family back. We have a four year old daughter. Due to the situation, however, I had to move out in order to heal from the toxicity. Is there any way to mend a situation like this. Should I hold on to hope. Do situations like this EVER work out, or am I just damning myself to an inevitable situation. Please have an open mind. I really need thoughtful advice on multiple perspectives.
