Saddle Fitting?

if you saddle is raised up at all when sitting on the horse's back after tightening the girth no it doesnt fit... period! your saddle should be level with the horse's back at all times. also you should be able to look under the saddle and see daylight along your horse's spine from the front all the way to the back when your horse puts its head down.... just enough so that you know the saddle isnt too wide and pressing on the spine...
