My dog can hear again?

Is appears that quite out of the clear blue sky my dog can hear what I'm saying again. He is a 15 yr old large (110#) mix breed that I verified to be (just as suddenly) deaf a year ago. We went as far as to sneak up behind him and ring a bell behind his head to check for reaction- deaf as a post. We have been getting along just fine with the hearing loss with body language and such, but just this afternoon I noticed his ears pivoting, I haven't seen that in a year at least. So then I tested him out by slamming doors (you could attribute to vibration but...) and calling his name from various places not in front of him. He is even obeying commands like lay down and get up. I even got him to sit and I haven't figured out a way to tell him to do that since the hearing loss. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled but I am just dumbfounded by the reverse in this situation. No, it wasn't that his ears were dirty or anything like that. He has been checked by his doc on numerous occasions because of a plethora of others issues that accompany providing end of life care for a geriatric pup. I'm curious how hearing can spontaneously return after (seemingly) total hearing loss?

How does court ordered community service work?

In December I was given ARD probation in pa. One of the conditions of it are 100 hours of community service. I plan on spending it doing work for a Buddhist monk in a temple. The thing is it has been almost 4 months since I was put on the program and I have never heard from a probation officer. I have even contacted them with no response. I am really not sure what I am supposed to do. Would I have the monk right down the time I work and signature it?

My ears are driving me mad please help!?

Okay so i went to my high schools sweetheart dance this previous Saturday and i perforated both of my eardrums. Sunday and Monday i had a fever of 102 and I've already had both flu shots, the H1N1 and influenza. I woke up yesterday morning and both my ears hurt terribly, so i went to my doctor. She prescribed me an antibiotic , and up until now I've been taking two 200mg ibuprofen every 6 hours to keep my fever down, and to lessen the pain in my ears. My problem is this: Since I woke up at 4am this morning, my ears have been ringing constantly- as if you got slapped in the face really hard and your cant hear anything but a high-pitched ring. That kind of ringing. I cannot get it to go away, no matter what I do, and its driving me nuts. They're ringing as I type this. I looked it up and it said it can be caused by ibuprofen and antibiotics. Do I stop taking the ibuprofen? Someone please help! Thanks in advance.

And I felt worthless so when became older, I slept around alot. So I know how you felt. I was living in a vicious cycle. I had to look myslef in the eye a few times and tell myself I was living and acting wrong. Since you do talk to your father look him in the eye and tell him how you feel. It doesnt matter if he accepts it or not. Face your fear and become a new you. Be proud of your self. Generalized Anxiety Disorder ruined my life completely?

Listen to me...your life is certainly not ruined. When my anxiety/ panic was still an uncontrollable mystery to me, I lost several jobs. But the longer you have this condition, the more you learn about yourself and how to control it, and the better life gets. Myself and many others took years to even be able to acknowledge that it really was an anxiety disorder because at first you are so damned confused and scared, you don't know what the heck to believe. By accepting the diagnosis, you are already making progress. Patience. It starts out as a mess that you can't imagine ever being able to control...but when you get the right medication and take care of yourself with vitamins, exercise, and learning how you personally deal with stress best, things get better and better. The panic experiences will eventually help you know yourself and how to calm yourself through it. I still have panic attacks but they are few and far between and much less severe. Your life is still in tact but you need to stay calm and tackle this with self- care. Get counseling if you can. A good mental health professional specializing in anxiety can teach you how to handle this. Right now the disorder is controlling you, but in time you can control the disorder. As far as your jobs, you need something like xanax to take at work to get you through the day until you are stronger.

Ahh!! Kids driving me crazy!?

My hubby is out of town on business and ALL of my kids have woken up, it's about midnight here. I swear, it was a chain reaction, one wakes up, then the next. Why does my puppy constantly have seizures?

He is a five month old maltipom. My sister bought him from a breeder far away and he was 'shipped' here. When we first got him, he had a seizure so we took him to the vet and we were told that he had pneumonia. After that, we took him to the vet for a couple weeks to get him treated and he was fine. But after he recovered from phnemonia he still has seziures like once ever two weeks. Why is this? He will start foaming in the mouth, spazz out and sometimes he will pee/poop without knowing. We can't afford to take him to the vet right now. We really need to go, I know. We are trying to see if he gets any better or if it gradually stops but for now, I want to know what is happening. What is with my wireless xbox live connection? Please help.?

I have xbox live, i have my xbox 360 like 10 steps away from my router, and im NOT aloud to go wired, so i use the xbox 360 wireless adapter. I look at network settings and i have 4 bars connecting to my router, then when i go play COD 4, or COD 5 i will get 1-2-3 bars up and down all game, though never 4 full bars. Also frick everyone sais oh sorry but its the host, WELL ITS NOT THE HOST!!!! This happens sometimes during the day, this usually happens around 11 am, to 12 pm, to 2 pm usually, in the morning like 8 am i get 3 bars allways, then at night i get 3 bars allways. How do I get rid of fleas in my home? Pease help me?

I have a dog but he is strickly an outside dog, never comes inside. We have hardwood floors, with 2 area rugs in the living room. I cant say how many times we have bombed the house.. it works for a day or two then the fleas always come back. We have tried to treat the yard and the dog, both still have fleas. I think you have to break it down to the industry that you are speaking of distinctively. In a civil industry for example you would have your PEs since they have to be certified to stamp designs and such. In the type of industry I work in, Military R&D I don't know a single engineer with their PE. A lot of these engineers have their doctorates and have been working for 20+ years but does it not make them engineers if they haven't taken a PE certification exam? Also if in industry two people are performing the exact same job functions shouldn't they have the same job title no matter what their degree is? Job titles describe what you do in your current position, not what degree you received.

Good around other animals? People? You CANNOT get a free dog. Pioneer AVIC-F500BT Navigation Unit problems getting it to work... help?

I bought a Pioneer avicf500bt navi 2 days ago and could not turn it on. I brought it back to the store (6th Ave electronics) and exchanged it for the a new one, brought it home had the exact same problem. Why does my Fable II Platinum Hits/GOTY Edition disconnect each time it joins a game?

I purchased Fable II in Russia. It's LEGAL. When I connect to a player it loads then says "Disconnected from Game" or "Server left". Also, on the token inside it says This edition contains Knothole Island and See The Future DLC. When I tried connecting to a player, it told me I didn't have the correct DLC but in Singleplayer, I can visit Knothole Island and see other players if I travel there but it dosen't work If I see them elsewhere. The Russian version contains both DLCs on one disc and says "Лидеры Продаж" which means "Platinum Hits". Usually, I can only connect to 2 out of 5 games I invite players to. PC desktop making noise after waken from sleep mode?

So I recently installed a new 650w PSU from a 250w and installed the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX video card into my PC desktop. However, about a day or two later, when I put it on sleep mode and wake it up later, the very back of the desktop case (the silver-colored panel where all of the cables are plugged into) starts making a very faint rattle-like noise. It's pretty quiet, but my best description of the noise is as if a small fan is hitting a tiny wire. Originally I thought it was the new PSU, but I then later realized it was the back of the case, since, when I push it inward with my fingers, the noise stops. It's very strange, especially since it only happens when I wake the PC from sleep mode (my OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit). The sound goes away after about two minutes or so. Can anyone guess what is going on?

Question about relayed motor control?

I have some 2 wire DC brushed motors. I am trying to get a relay configuration working to operate the motors (forward, reverse, off). There are 5 motors total. I am using an 8 Relay USB controlled board. It is basically an audrino controlling a bank of relays. The relays are RAS 1215 they have Normally Open, Normally Closed, and Common. The problem I am having is ground switching for polarity. Since there is no "relaxed" position on the relay that provides no contact between common and either other side, I cannot seem to get by this problem. I am pretty good at programming do you think that there is a way to put the relays in a "half open" state by telling the audrino to have a 3rd command which supplies just the right voltage to half-open the coil? Does this sound feasible to anyone else or am I better off using either more relays (I don't want to do that b/c the response time of calling upon them one at a time in code.) or should I find some relays or something that is made to reverse polarity for motors. If so they need to be USB controlled. Any suggestions?

He is believed to be male, he was handfed, was hatched in August and just weaned about two weeks ago. He's very sweet, I was playing with him in the store and when I got home. Everyone tells me to just tear it off like like a band-aid. I want my family back. We have a four year old daughter. Due to the situation, however, I had to move out in order to heal from the toxicity. Is there any way to mend a situation like this. Should I hold on to hope. Do situations like this EVER work out, or am I just damning myself to an inevitable situation. Please have an open mind. I really need thoughtful advice on multiple perspectives.

Kidney Infection-antibotics would make pain worse?

I was diagnosed with a bad UTI/kidney infection yesterday. I was told by my doctor that I had a bad infection/ alot of blood/ keystones in my urine. He gave me shot of something in my hip to "kick start" my oral meds. I started them yesterday afternoon (as directed). Today I'm more nauseous than yesterday and my kidneys/back hurt ALOT more than they have been. Is that normal??? They said if I didn't feel better by tomorrow at lunch to call back and I needed to come back in; but I don't understand why I would be feeling worse..... any suggestions??

Ok. First of all need to warm this baby up. Put in makeshift nest by using a coolwhip bowl with tissues in it. Put him in box in case jumps out. Then put heating pad set on low under box. Feed him every 30 mins from light until dark. Feed mealworms and can soak dog food and cat food in water an mush up or cut in small pieces. If this bird is feathered once he is dry and warm he needs to be put back where you found him asap. He is a fledgling it is normal for him to be out of nest and hopping and flopping and falling trying to learn how to fly. His mom and dad bird will come feed him no matter where he goes. You taking him was nice but to the parent birds it is cruel and called kidnapping. They will not reject him because you have touched him as they have bad sense of smell. He will cry adn they will respond as they will recognize his cries and he will theirs. Put him up on a branch or a bush or something safe near where he was. Baby birds get wet all the time. He is probably more afraid than anything as they see us as predators. Can die from shock. If none of these options are good for you then you need to call a vet that can refer you to a local wildlife rehabber asap who will raise it and let it go into the wild where it belongs when it is ready. It is calling for its mamma thought and that is the best option. Good luck and nice you cared for it.
